Overview of the Accounting Specialist Role: As the Accounting Specialist, you will take ownership of various accounting functions and play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial records. You'll be involved in transaction processing, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities, working closely with the broader accounting team. Key Responsibilities: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accuracy Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports Perform accurate data entry and maintain accounting systems and databases Support month-end and year-end close processes Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries as needed Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist Role: Proven experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
