Billing Specialist Location: Monroeville, PA (Onsite/Hybrid) Pay Rate: $19.49 per hour Start Date: 7/28/2025 Hours: M-F 7am-4:00pm ET Employment Type: Long Term Contract (Not a Direct Hire) Must live within 1 hour of Monroeville site, Required to come in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays (every other week) for a total of 4x a month, but willing to come onsite for business needs if that changes. Follows processes to assist with processing, insurance verification and authorization, revenue cycle management, compliance and documentation, as well as customer service and issue resolution. Provides support in ensuring accurate billing, efficient revenue flow, and compliance with regulations. Monitors the revenue cycle process to ensure efficient and effective revenue capture and financial performance. Identifies opportunities for process improvement within the revenue cycle. Analyzes current workflows to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implements strategies to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance revenue cycle outcomes. Collaborates with stakeholders to implement new technology, develop standardized procedures, and train staff on best practices. Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and billing regulations for healthcare revenue cycle management. Audits process to ensure adherence to applicable regulations such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and coding and billing standards. Encourages and supports a culture of innovation, experimentation, and creative problem-solving among the team. Monitors and analyzes financial performance related to the revenue cycle and reports the financial performance of the clinical departments. Sets individual performance goals and helps to fosters a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience performing healthcare reimbursement, pharmacy insurance/billing or related work. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Customer service skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
