CLW, headquartered in Warren, OH, is seeking an experienced Office/Payroll Assistant to fill an opening at our Corporate Office. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of office and payroll experience processing payroll and working with accounts payable & receivable. Services at each location are individually tailored to meet the needs of our individuals including transportation services.Job Summary:The role of the Office/Payroll Assistant is to assist and support the Company by maintaining office systems, processing payroll, and performing various administrative and bookkeeping duties assigned by the Office/Payroll Manager.Essential Functions:Maintains office operations and procedures; processes payroll; assists in entering employee data into the HRIS and timekeeping software; performs various clerical duties as assigned.Retains, protects, retrieves, transfers, and disposes of records per the Company Records Retention Policy or other relevant Company policies.Primary IT vendor contact. Assists with maintenance of Company network, data storage, login's, equipment and software service, etc.Vehicles: maintains Company vehicle log (locations and insurance), vehicle titles, vehicle ordering/leasing and managing trade-in vehicles, vehicle registration or renewal questions/problems, maintenance and inspections.Maintains various office systems for the Company. This includes keeping appropriate records on equipment usage and repairs, ordering, assigning, and servicing of equipment.Back up to the Office/Payroll Manager. Will be required to assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable.May assist with processing Company use and sales tax, calculating monthly/quarterly bonuses, and employment verifications/garnishments/child support orders.Oversees all utilities at CLW locations.Assists Administrators with general building maintenance.Assists with facility supply questions/ordering.Ensures DOL compliance and assists with DOL standards/audits/questions.Completes census and EEO reports.Travel may be required as needed.Perform other duties as assigned or directed.Job Qualifications:Able to work unsupervised frequently and be self-directed.Organized and detail-oriented in work performed.Effective communication (both written and verbal) and comprehension.Above average working knowledge of MS Office software, including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in related field OR a combination of education and experience.At least 2 years payroll/administrative experience.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described are representative of those that each employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the responsibilities of the Office/Payroll Assistant, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Travel: Up to 15% travel may be required.Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment.
