Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily after sufficient training is provided. • Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps • Troubleshooting of electrical control panels • General understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams • Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment • Preventative maintenance and emergency callouts • Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers • Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc. • Working with various Company provided hand and power tools • Accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system • Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations • Take care of company property • Demonstrates High Impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment • Must be able to function in a team environment • Work independently TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: • Daily local travel required • Up to 50% overnight stays, depending on location Pre-hire requirements to operate company vehicle (provided by Xylem or candidate ): • Driver Application for Employment • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) • Driver Disclosure and Release • Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness • Driver Certificate of Violations • Driver Statement of On Duty Hours – if applicable • Road Test • Copy of Driver’s License • Copy of Medical Certificate QUALIFICATIONS: Education Requirements • HS diploma or equivalent Experience Requirements: • 2 to 5 years of technical work experience Skill Requirements: • Electrically and mechanically inclined • Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability • Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly • Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices HIGH IMPACT BEHAVIORS: Transformative Mindset (Talent, Capability) Consistency (Strategy alignment, Continuity) Empowerment (Decision-making, Approval culture) Non-Confrontational Culture (Feedback culture) Clear Roles & Responsibilities LEADERSHIP SKILLS : Proactively seeks feedback from peers, team members, and manager Applies new knowledge and tech to improve outcomes within team Identifies and mitigates risks Breaks down problems effectively and leverages RCA Prioritizes team’s and organization’s needs over self Owning execution Delegates effectively to empower teams to grow Considers Xylem-wide implications of decisions Performs strongly under pressure or in face of challenges Focuses on long-term goals despite setbacks or failures Has an effective personal operating model Leads change with optimism DAY IN THE LIFE : In this role, the working environment is an industrial shop setting where use of PPE is required. May also include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limited to, standing and lifting to 50 lbs. In addition, this role may require overtime, and travel may be needed for training sessions.
