Job Description:
As a Vehicle Inspector II at Cox Automotive, you will play a
crucial role in maintaining the high standards of vehicle quality
and safety that our company is known for. In this position, you
will inspect pre-owned vehicles for cosmetic and mechanical issues,
ensuring they meet or exceed regulatory requirements and company
standards. By leveraging your automotive knowledge and attention to
detail, you will help ensure that all vehicles sold or auctioned
through Cox Automotive meet the highest standards, thus supporting
our commitment to excellence in the automotive industry. Perform
detailed inspections of pre-owned vehicles, assessing mechanical,
cosmetic, and safety conditions. Document and report any defects
and non-compliance issues. Communicate findings with the sales and
service teams to ensure issues are addressed before sale or
auction. Follow all company guidelines and local/state/federal
regulations related to vehicle inspection and safety. Manage and
organize inspection records and maintain tools and equipment.
Participate in ongoing training and certifications to stay current
with industry standards and technologies. Proficient in using
diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle evaluation. Strong
understanding of automotive systems and components. Excellent
attention to detail and observational abilities. Good communication
and report writing skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification (Automotive
Service Excellence) is highly desirable. Valid driver’s license and
clean driving record.
