UPMC might be the perfect place for you! /n UPMC McKeesport is currently hiring an Imaging Services Student Tech to work various weekend shifts including the following –10:30 am to 7 pm (CT) and 11 am to 7:30 pm (Diagnostic). There may also be the need to work an evening shift – 5 pm to 9 pm. The schedule will alternate weekends between CT and Diagnostic. Apply today to learn more! /n Purpose: May perform imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a registered technologist, incorporating learning and education with the performance of tasks to assist the technologist in their responsibilities. Responsibilities: /n /n - Depending on modality, may utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of image data and completes procedures according to protocol under the supervision of a Radiologist or Technologist. /n - May perform daily equipment inspections, warm up procedures and follow Quality Control Program under supervision of a Technologist. /n - Assist Radiologist and Technologist setting up contrast; however, will never be responsible for loading or priming the injector. /n - Obtain quality images while following radiation safety standards and protocols. /n - Assist with positioning and performing exams, but should never hold the detector or patients for Radiation procedures. /n - Arrive patients, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams in the Radiology Information Systems. /n - Assist Radiologist and Technologist in performing modality specific exams. /n - Maintain clinical proficiency for all completed competencies and equipment skills. /n /n - Must be an active 2nd year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school. /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal /n - Act 33 with renewal /n - Act 34 with renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n /n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
