Pay Information $2,316 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7A - 7:30P, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Common diagnoses/types of patients include chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and hospice care. Experience with titrating drips in a stepdown setting is necessary. RNs must be able to read telemetry strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor technicians. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a stepdown unit. The unit has a total of 32 beds, including 12 designated for stepdown care. Nurse-to-patient ratios for stepdown are 1:3, and for floor patients, ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6. A charge nurse is budgeted for the unit, and a house supervisor is always available. Registered nurses will be required to float to any floor or stepdown unit as needed. The dress code for this unit is royal blue scrubs.
