We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 68-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Mar 16, 2026, and offers a blend of mostly OR work with some ICU floor responsibilities. The schedule features three 12-hour shifts per week, with additional call requirements on nights and weekends. Job Details - Location: Pennsylvania - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - LOA: 68 days - Provider Type Needed: Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant - Schedule: Regular shifts are 6am-6pm three days per week; call is 6pm-6:30am with weekend call from Friday 6pm through Monday 6:30am (call is from home, not in-house); not a PRN position Responsibilities and Duties - Provide surgical assistance in the operating room, primarily supporting cardiovascular and thoracic cases - Deliver patient care in the ICU, including assessments and management as needed - Participate in call coverage for nights and weekends as scheduled - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team in a Trauma setting - Ensure compliance with all facility protocols and standards - Utilize clinical judgment to deliver high-quality care to adult patients Additional Information - Must hold current Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania - Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required - Candidates must be either board certified or board eligible Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
