Job Description UPMC is hiring a full time Licensed Practical
Nurse, OP to join their Hermitage Internal Medicine team in
Hermitage, PA! The hours for this position will be Monday through
Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or holidays!
/n The LPN will provide professional nursing care to office
patients under supervision of patient care providers. This will
include rooming patients, getting vitals, assisting with
procedures, and giving injections and vaccines. /n Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under
supervision of patient care providers. Responsibilities: /n /n -
Draw blood. /n - Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory
agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). /n -
Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. /n -
Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and
treatments. /n - Assess patient's general condition and take vital
signs and weight. /n - Comply with all policies and procedures. /n
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. /n -
Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses,
medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. /n -
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and
other data. /n - Promote wellness by providing patient education
materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. /n /n -
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. /n - One-year
clinical experience preferred. /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and
Clearances: /n /n - CPR required based on AHA standards that
include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within
30 days of hire /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) /n - Act 33
/n - Act 34 with renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n
/n *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is
located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate
Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license
issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees
working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their
residency to the state where the facility is also located will have
60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within
