The J73 unit is a 25-bed cardiology stepdown telemetry unit that
provide fast-paced nursing care to a select medical cardiac patient
population that includes myocardial infarction, post cardiac
intervention, chronic heart failure, dysrhythmia management and
pulmonary hypertension. As an Assistant Nurse Manager on this unit,
you will assist fellow RNs, physicians and medical staff in
providing the best possible healthcare experience. Your work will
mainly focus on evaluating patient condition, improving unit
policies, managing caregiver schedules and welcoming new nurses to
the team. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a

this role works a day/evening rotation from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
and 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., with four weekend shifts scheduled
within a six-week period. A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and
other nursing support caregivers. - Supervise admissions, conduct
assessment of patient's needs and initiate nursing care plans. -
Evaluate and document patient progress. - Facilitate the planning,
implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs,
initiatives and objectives for the unit. - Assist with the
development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure
efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit. -
Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers and other areas
within the organization. - Identify and resolve issues affecting
the delivery of patient care services in a unit. - Prepare schedule
of work assignments assuring adequate coverage. - Participate in
and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and
research initiatives. - Assist in orienting new caregivers. -
Participate in continuing education and in-service educational
programs. - Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education
and in-service educational programs. - Participate in interviewing,
caregiver evaluations, onboarding and check-ins. Minimum
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate
from an accredited school of professional nursing - Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Current state licensure as a Registered
Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - Two years
of recent RN experience - Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge
and skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver
include: - Cardiac experience Physical Requirements: - Requires
full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand
coordination. - Requires standing and walking for extensive periods
of time. - Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. -
Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids. -
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. -
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using
personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum
hourly: $37.50 Maximum hourly: $57.60 The pay range displayed on
this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A
successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after
taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work
history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range
displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g.,
shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not
