This contract position emphasizes hands-on involvement in a dynamic surgical environment with a primary focus on a 7-room inpatient/outpatient mixed operating unit. The role offers the chance to contribute to both routine and trauma-related surgical care, providing a stimulating and rewarding professional setting. Key Responsibilities: Scrub and circulate in the operating room, demonstrating expertise in assisting with surgical procedures. Operate the Da Vinci Xi surgical system proficiently, a critical requirement for this position. Provide skilled support in posterior eye surgeries and eye trauma cases, including the ability to circulate as needed. Float between operating departments as staffing and surgical schedules dictate, primarily based in a 7-room unit but occasionally supporting a larger 26-room level one trauma main OR. Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain OR efficiency. Desired Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with proven experience in operating room nursing. Strong proficiency in scrub duties, particularly with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi. Experience or comfort with posterior eye surgery and trauma cases is highly desirable. Ability to work flexibly across different operating units as required. Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
