with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Morgantown, West
Virginia, 26506! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
(Registered Nurse) Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Nightshift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum
License: Valid license required for submission Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong MedSurg Stepdown experience Ability
to titrate drips and read strips Description: The unit has 32 beds.
Ratios for Stepdown assignments are 1:3 and for Combo assignments
are 1:4. Common diagnoses include post-surgical Thoracic and
Medicine patients. RNs are required to titrate drips with specific
parameters as ordered by the physician. Common titratable and set
rate drips include Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol,
Heparin, and Lasix (no vasopressors). There is 1 Charge Nurse and 3
House Supervisors in-house. There are 3-4 CNAs per shift. The unit
receives Bipap and tracheostomy patients but does not have vents.
RNs are required to interpret and chart patient rhythms every four
hours or more frequently if titrating medications. Each unit has
centralized telemetry for RNs to view at the nurses' station, along
with monitors in patient rooms. The centralized telemetry
interprets and places EKG strips into patient charts. RNs are
expected to work three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule.
Travelers may be required to work holidays as needed. Floating is
very rare. Scrub color is royal blue. The charting system used on
