a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's ACFR organization, the
preferred candidate will reside and work in one of our Technology
hub locations: Birmingham, AL; Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; or
Dallas, TX. Responsibilities require time in the office with the
opportunity for remote work at the manager's discretion.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be leading agile crew
team members on delivering a modernized integrated platform. You
will be closely partnering with business units and serve as a
liaison between business and technology. Need to provide strong
technical leadership and able to provide technical solutions to the
problem. Experience working with customer facing/external
applications is desired.
This position is to manage a team responsible for delivering
customer facing web applications for the PNC Capital Markets
business unit. Primarily for the Derivatives (Rates, Currency,
Commodities, Credit) and Fixed Income broker dealer trading and
sales teams.
Candidates must have experience with most of the following:
- Strong proficiency in Java with hands-on experience in Spring
Boot
Microservices.
- Strong relational database (Oracle) experience
- Knowledge on front frameworks (Angular)
- Experience with Version Control Systems (Git) and CI/CD
pipeline
- Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, and
event-driven
design patterns.
- Experience designing and developing solutions using core Java,
SQL (Oracle).
- Familiarity with Agile project management and Jira

- Manages development projects, development teams and application

- Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects
which include development, installation and maintenance of
application programs.
