X-Ray Tech Location: Weirton, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,646 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: X-ray Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: X-ray License Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Must be able to function in all areas including General X-ray, Portables, Operating Room, and Fluoroscopy. Will accept first-time travelers. Description: 50-mile radius rule applies. General certification requirements include BLS and state X-ray License. Must disclose any licensing hits at the time of submission. Department has 4 rooms: 3 for general X-ray, 1 for fluoroscopy, 2 portable units, and 3 C-Arms. Staffing consists of 6-7 Technologists during the day, 3-4 in the evenings, and 1 on midnights. Employees will need to float between various departments including General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Operating Room. Common imaging studies performed include general X-ray studies, Operating Room cases, and fluoroscopy cases. Average number of scans/studies performed per day is approximately 110. The department utilizes Community Works as the EMR and IntelliRad/Intelliconnect as the PACS. Department specific equipment includes GE, Philips, and Siemens. There is an imaging director and manager available Monday through Friday during daylight hours. Radiologists are in-house 24/7 until 5 PM, after which they are on-call. IV starts are not required in this department. Staff works a staggered schedule of 2 on, 2 off, and 3 on. Shifts include day, afternoon, and midnight hours. Staff may find themselves as the only technologist in-house during overnight shifts. Weekend requirements include every other weekend, and staff may be asked to participate in holiday rotations. There are no on-call or standby requirements for this position. Scrubs may be of any color, provided they are clean and professional. Department-specific orientation includes 5 shifts with a preceptor. The cancellation policy allows for client cancellations of up to 2 shifts per assignment. The charting system used is Cerner.
