Join us to make a difference!Culture - as a Startup, we are looking for Leaders that want to create an organization and structure where you can make an impact, have your voice heard, ambitious to step up to dynamic challenges and be accountable, for your results.The Quality Engineer will provide support to the product development team, creating inspection standards, resolving defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.Typical job duties may include but are not limited to the following: Reviews design plans, contributes to the creation and implementation of quality policies, processes, test procedures, and quality manuals in accordance with the scope, requirements, and function of the propulsion system. Work with the manufacturing and design engineering to determine product specifications and tolerances for the propulsion system. Establish criteria for Inspection Standards for the propulsion systems, based on the product specification and process critical requirements. Establish and maintain product/process Control Plans to assure critical features are controlled and monitored through the assembly/production processes. Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level. Ensures products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements. Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process. Ensure gauge calibration and certification. Verify tolerances /engineering specifications. Define and conduct machine process capability analysis and MSA. Lead and facilitate sorting activity and drive part improvement with suppliers on part non-conformances. Review and provide disposition to non-conforming material and lead containment activity. Able to perform and lead problem solving activities for quality issues through root cause analysis and recommend / implement preventive and corrective actions. Track quality performance metrics, prioritize top issues and drive continuous improvement activities with cross-functional team Report against agreed quality metrics Develop and compile best practices and support implementation in other areas. Assist in the development and improvement of the Quality Management System. Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards. Possess demonstrable leadership abilities. Previous experience managing safety critical parts. Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects. Coordinate with Stamping, Body, Paint, and Assembly to support/attain plant-wide goals. Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement Possess demonstrable leadership abilities. Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Product launch experience Strong quality mindset Highly adaptable Customer focused Ability to work independently Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organizations production processes. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support. Team working skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work in a team environment as well as individually and able to build working relationship with both external and internal to LMC Self-motivated, can-do attitude, positive outlook Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.Education and Experience: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, etc.) or other technical discipline. 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry Strong background in their engineering discipline Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Understanding of Automation Systems Knowledge of stator assembly stator and rotor assembly design and process. Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques.
