DescriptionPosition: Regular, Full Time, Non-ExemptDepartment:
Real EstateReports To: Corporate Security SupervisorSupervises:
N/AThe primary objective of the position is to reduce the threat of
physical harm, protect the people and physical assets of the
organization, and to provide assistance and emergency response
services as warranted to visitors, staff, and tenants on Cleveland
Foundation properties as well as at external Cleveland Foundation
events. Serves as site surveillance and community interface. This
is an exciting opportunity to deliver security with the highest
bias for safety and a lens toward delivering a positive customer
experience.Essential Functions and Expected Outcomes:Key
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and
emergencies, providing first responder support and maintaining calm
under pressure.
- Conduct mobile and walking patrols, including thorough security
checks of all facilities to ensure the safety of contents and
infrastructure.
- Actively monitor TCF parking lots, properties, and streets
where assets are located
- Actively monitor security cameras and other surveillance
systems as needed
- Interact with visitors, staff, and community members with
professionalism and a positive demeanor to build trust and strong
relationships.
- Observe and report criminal activity, safety hazards, or other
conditions that may jeopardize safety or property.
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing
site-specific policies and safety procedures.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain incident reports with clear and
detailed documentation.
- Assist in the planning and coverage of special events,
coordinating with public safety as needed.
- Direct traffic and enforce parking regulations when
applicable.
- Supports Corporate Security Supervisor with post-incident
emergency investigations as needed and submits comprehensive
written incident reports, as backup when relevant, to communicate
potential gaps in security and/or opportunities for increasing
safety.
- Serves as backup when other security officers are not available
(e.g. sick, vacation, holiday).
- Assist with training newly hired officers.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.Core

- Serves as temporary site security supervisor when the Corporate
Security Supervisor is unavailable to perform
responsibilitiesRequirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age
for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ Years previous Security and Supervisor Experience
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a
thorough background investigation in accordance with all federal,
state, and local laws. with applicable laws and including criminal
history.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a
drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively
manage teams and operations.
- A Valid Ohio Driver's License with no significant violations is

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws
and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Ability to work evening and nighttime hours, along with
rotating weekends and holidays.
- A commitment to delivering the highest standards in security
services.
- Must be familiar with and able to operate fire, security and
communications equipment once trained.
- Ability to demonstrate alertness and attention to detail.
Ability to remain alert and focused on the surroundings.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and understanding of when
to be assertive and take control of a situation.Contacts:
- Department: Daily contact with central dispatch via portable
radio and telephone. Frequent contact with Corporate Security and
other security guards to exchange information.
- Foundation: Daily contact with visitors, staff and community
during regular duties and special events.
- External: Daily contact with general public during regular
duties and special events.Working Conditions
- Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions. May
require reaching, standing, walking, climbing, manual dexterity,
grasping and feeling, and the ability to lift or move objects of up
to 20 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous situations.PAY AND
BENEFITSThe foundation's compensation program estimates an annual
salary range $52,000 - $57,050 for this position, with flexibility
to adjust based on the candidate's educational background,
professional experience, community involvement, and overall
qualifications.The foundation offers an exceptional benefits
