Job Title: Software Developer Cloud Node.js The Software Developer joins the Licensing team of the Release Management Unit and is responsible for the development of web/cloud-based licensing solutions, delivering the next iteration of world-class enterprise-grade licensing services. In this role, the Software Developer will use technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives to deliver business-critical services for a growing user base. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Performs development activities that may require research and analysis in areas including user experience, software design, and application use. • Employs best practices for design and development and helps the team to maintain quality standards through contributions to technical reviews. • Optimizes data storage and retrieval methods to ensure efficient processing of large datasets. • Ensures classification of data according to required levels of access. • Performs defect analysis, develops corrective solutions, and supports pre- and post-release testing and verification efforts. • Contributes and maintains shared documentation of services and implementations. • Investigates and corrects issues discovered by QA and customer support. • Understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues. • Participates in planning, architecture, and research activities. • Works under the supervision of a development manager and is responsible for the design and implementation of service enhancements. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years’ experience or MS. • Strong computing skills with demonstrated knowledge of RESTful API, API schemas, sustainable development practices, requirements and needs of maintaining business-critical services. • Technical knowledge developing distributed API services written in TypeScript using the Node.js framework in an Agile development environment. Preferred Qualifications and Skills • Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with OpenAPI, Azure, Node.js, and Kubernetes. • Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial organization • Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
