Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or Special Education, Certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and 1 years Orientation and Mobility Specialist experience required. A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) position is available to support multiple K-12 school districts across Greene County and Washington County, Pennsylvania. This contract role runs through June 16, 2026, providing vital services to students within various educational settings. Key Responsibilities: Deliver orientation and mobility instruction tailored to K-12 students with visual impairments. Assess student needs and develop individualized programs that enhance independence and safety. Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to integrate mobility strategies. Travel regularly between multiple school sites within Greene and Washington Counties to maintain caseload support. Maintain accurate records and comply with reporting requirements. Qualifications: Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) license required. Experience providing orientation and mobility services in K-12 educational environments. Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple districts efficiently. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel onsite regularly. Strong communication and organizational skills. Location: Onsite work is required throughout Greene County and Washington County, PA. Hours: Full-time, approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week.
