Job Description:
The Vice President Digital Product Dev Enterprise Business
Systems reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Information
Officer and is responsible for the strategic oversight and
direction of the design, development, release, and ongoing
maintenance of technology systems and services for enterprise
financial, human capital management, supply chain, revenue cycle,
and facilities functions. This role encompasses the leadership of
enterprise resource planning systems, including but not limited to
customer relationship management, support for strategic planning,
M&A, and legal across the Summa Health and SummaCare System.
The VP will work collaboratively with IT&S leaders and
cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of enterprise
business IT solutions that drive innovation and differentiated IT
strategy, improving the business value of IT. enhance user
satisfaction, patient engagement, and workforce engagement. Formal
Education Required: a. Master’s degree in Business, Computer
Science, Healthcare Administration or a degree in a related field.
Additional related experience may be substituted for up to two
years of the educational requirement. b. Healthcare experience
preferred. c. Experience with an ERP (e.g. Workday, Oracle, Infor,
SAP) required. Experience & Training Required: a. Ten (10) years
broadly based, progressive experience, Managing and Leading teams.
b. Fifteen (15) years’ experience in information technology. c. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and
proven track record of accomplishments building high performing
teams, leading IT technical/application services in a large,
complex healthcare organization or academic medical center: 1.
Significant experience in large-scale implementation and running of
enterprise resource planning systems, including running and
improving an enterprise-wide ERP program (Workday Oracle, Infor,
SAP). 2. Proven track record in leading high-performing, cohesive
teams focused on application development, implementation, and
support. 3. Strong understanding of financial accounting and
reporting practices relevant to applications and their associated
costs and risks. 4. Proficiency in IT Sourcing, Vendor and Contract
Management, collaborating with vendor partners and orchestrating
external service delivery with internal service delivery. 5.
Proficiency in data processing, analytics and quality management
tools. 6. Experience designing and implementing effective
application management processes and policies. 7. Proven ability to
lead high-performing corporate business technology teams with focus
on all aspects of business operations, finance, human resources,
workforce management, and supply chain. 8. Proven ability to build
the business technology architecture of a complex healthcare
organization and mature it in terms of capability, performance,
reliability, user satisfaction. 9. Leadership experience in digital
business technologies. 10. Proven leadership in building and
nurturing high-performing teams. 11. Experience operating within a
product and services framework. 12. Demonstrated leadership in
clinical informatics initiatives. d. Established history of
effective collaboration with middle and senior management to build
cross-organizational consensus on technology platforms. Other
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Strategic mindset with
a track record of successful business and IT strategic planning. b.
Demonstrated ability to work across business and technology domains
to identify synergies and drive process improvements. c.
Comprehensive knowledge of IT disciplines and technology platforms.
d. Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies. e. Extensive
knowledge of major aspects of IT operations, including project
management, systems development, analysis, and budget
administration. f. Proficiency in standard IT processes and
methodologies (e.g., ITIL, PMI, Agile practices). g. Extensive
experience in IT application, data, mobility, and infrastructure
planning and development. h. Strong project and process management
skills with familiarity in project management methodologies. i.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities with
excellent written and verbal communication skills. j. Proven
capacity to communicate technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders to enhance understanding and facilitate
decision-making. k. Ability to implement standards and operating
metrics effectively. l. Extensive experience in negotiating and
managing the lifecycle of contracts, particularly in technology or
IT service agreements. m. Experience managing large-scale contracts
across various IT categories, including hardware, software,
services, and telecommunications. n. Comprehensive knowledge of
information systems applications, technologies, and networks;
proficiency in MS Office products such as Visio and MS Project. o.
High personal integrity in handling sensitive and confidential
organizational data. p. Ability to maintain composure and clarity
in high-pressure situations. q. Commitment to upholding the
organizations goals and culture. r. Ability to lead, enable, and
motivate teams through a supportive and non-judgmental approach. s.
Flexibility and adaptability to rapid changes in business needs,

job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or
differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience
and geographical location are considered when determining the
starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity
and consider internal equity of our current team members when
determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is
listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the
range would not be typical.
